SERVICE DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ IN FULL!
Coppell TV Repair offers a REPAIR SERVICE for a common problem caused by a failure of the ZSUS board in INSIGNIA NS-42PDP 42'' plasma TV.
REPAIR SERVICE means that you have to uninstall and send the board to us for evaluation, repair, test and return.
The listed price includes testing of the board we receive and replacement of the commonly failed components followed by another testing to ensure the problem has been resolved and the board is functional again.
Sometimes the board requires more than that. If it's just a bit more we'll do it at no extra cost, but if we spend an hour on the board and it is still not working we will contact you back and disscuss options.
There are several different ways in which this board can fail and they have different manifestations:
1) A faint, grainy, purpule/red bleeding display is almost certainly a failed ZSUS board
2) A blown (not having continuity , having infinite resistance) fuse on the board is almost certain guarantee the board is in need of service/replacement too. When we say "almost" it's about 999 out of 1000 times. We've seen one or two cases where boards arrive with blown fuse and yet still test fine afterwards, i.e. after replacing the fuse and doing nothing else. In all other (practically all) cases the board needs to be serviced beyond fuse replacement.
3) Sometimes when the ZSUS board fails it can short and the fuse may NOT blow. When that happens the TV would usually refuse to power on unless you disconnect the board from the power at which point it will start with either the first effect or completely dark image.
4) Also sometimes when the ZSUS fails the screen may actually be completely dark. It is very easy to confuse that with a failed YSUS board (or other failures, these two are just the most popular ones).
We recommend that you let the TV run for 5-10 minutes with audio only (if you can get on proper input/channel to get audio) and see which board gets warm and which one does not.
The one NOT getting warm is your preferred (but not guaranteed) candidate.

Typical processing time for the repair is within two business days; if we have any probems that require more time (be it overload or technical problems) we will contact you with an update and request for more time.
We have a fairly high success ratio, but we still do not guarantee success; if we can't get the board to work, though, you will not need to pay.
Presently we do not charge in advance for repair services.
Instead, once the board(s) are received, tested, found to be defective, serviced and tested again to success we send a payment request to the customer.
If something along the process - such as unexpected difficulty or finding a board to be functional - arises we contact the customer via email and/or phone and disscuss options.
Minimal charge / diagnostic fee
If a board arrives and is determined to be functional we charge up to $25 for diagnostic fee.

We ask that the board arrives here in good physical condition and without traces of tampering. If someone (other than us, that is) has already attempted to service the board then please contact us with a description/pictures and do not directly place an order. We reserve the right to refuse service to boards that have signs of repair attempts.
